Wedding Scarves
My client was so excited to have her wedding on the beach at sunset, and who could blame her? She’d chosen a theme of turquoise and asked only that her four bridesmaids wore a dress of their choosing in a shade of turquoise. She’d been looking for shrugs or lightweight shawls so that they would have a matching look without being in a “uniform”. When I showed her a sari in a gorgeous shade of turquoise, she didn’t hesitate to have it made into scarves for her bridesmaids. Luckily, I was able to get exactly four scarves out of the sari. She was thrilled! They were just the right weight for the weather, there was nothing to have to alter, they were worn in different ways throughout the party, and became a favorite accessory long after the wedding was over.
If you are looking for the perfect cover-up that will add an elegant touch for a dressy occasion, you will find a silk scarf from Ten Thousand Scarves a fabulous solution. Please note that I have a limited supply of black saris I am making into scarves. You will never be sari (couldn’t resist the pun).
