CARE OF YOUR SCARF
Did you know that silk is a protein that’s very similar to our hair? Just as you condition your hair to keep it soft and manageable, silk requires the same sort of care. By nature, silk is soft until it’s been washed and dried. Then it can end up feeling stiff and crunchy unless you take care to keep it soft. Here’s how we care for our silk:
Handwash in warm water with a little sulfate-free hair shampoo.
Dissolve a capful of sulfate-free conditioner in warm water. Let scarf soak for 10 minutes & rinse.
Roll the wet scarf in a big towel (it will be wrinkled) & gently squeeze to blot out excess water. Put scarf in the dryer with a fabric softener sheet. Dry on air fluff/no heat 5 minutes. Iron on wash & wear setting. (See our blog on ironing tips)
